linux? and another question

so basically i messed up my hard drive . im buying a new one and dont want windows anymore.

any one use linux? what version and how do you like it?

my computer uses a IDE slot for the drives no SATA. so i wanted to buy a SATA type drive.

would this work?

not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.

PcLinuxOS 2009.1 or Ubuntu/Kubuntu are great for people new to linux. Both have good forums to get support from, as well as irc channels.

Those look like they'll work, but I can't be sure. I'm all SATA here.

im using Linux right now. im using the ubuntu version 9.04. it takes some getting used to but i like it better than windows
