Bluebrindle Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 i have a slight problem. ordered 2 lvl5 15s with a view to running them off of 2 de3000 us amps- i ordered them in dual .7 ohm config with a view to running each amp at 1.4 ohm which apparantly is the perfect load for that amp. anyway i got let down on the second us amps and as they are old now i have no hope of getting another. so what should i use- i dont have a crazy power supply- 190a alt and about 340ah of batteries, i simply cant get bigger in there so i really would like each sub to just see 2000rms so far i see the rf 20001bd does 2k at 1ohm but is underrated so i wonder what it will put out at 1.4 ohm the amp must also sound as good as a class d can- the us amp is great for sq so what else ? obviously i dont wanna spend crazy money, i,m in the uk and its looking like im gonna have to order from the states as there isnt much here. shainemcconnell Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 it may be capable of a little more but you can just keep the gain down a little bit until you upgrade electrical Quote 2010 IDBL Rookie 1 North American Champion 2009 IDBL Rookie 1 Fl State Champion 2009 EBB Fly Weight 3rd Place Fl State Finals 2006 Silver Grand Prix GXP :Diablo Audio Hellfire 1000.1, JL Audio 300/4, One 13W7, ZR650, VR690, JL Cleansweep setup. Bluebrindle Posted July 2, 2009 Author Report Posted July 2, 2009 unfortunately upgrading electrical is never going to get better- its not the cost which is an issue its fitting a bigger alt is impossible, 190 was the biggest i could get i bought a grand cherokee but its diesel and theres nothing available for it, should have just bought the v8 and i,d be laughing but unfortunately not at the pumps (uk fuel prices are not a joke ) Quote
