I am trying to conect two rockford fosgate 600-4 amps to one set of rca pre-outs off of my pioneer HU. My HU only has a sub pre out and then another pre-out for door speakers ect. Someone told me to use Y-adapeters but I think that Y-adapeter will kill all of my SQ. Is there a device that i can buy to split this one set of rca outs into 4 pairs?

I believe splitting the rca's like that will work, but it'll also result in a weaker signal being sent to the amps as well so your gains will have to be set higher and your amps will work a little harder. I don't think you'll notice a degredation in SQ though, not if you're only splitting it two ways...but if you split it 4 ways then it'll likely sound like ass, especially if they're only 2v preouts.

could always use a line out converter(heads a lil foggy today and cant remember what there called lol) ya just hookup the speaker leads off your HU and it turns it into a RCA output

use a linedriver

it will bump your rca voltage up close to 10 volts, so you can split it a few ways and not worry

Cool.. so if i run my pre outs through this then I can use y-splitters and not lose quality right?

exactly, i know its a little pricy but the audiocontrol piece is very very high quality and very reliable. I dont think anyone anywhere can say anything bad about what they produce, and if you're worried about sq you might as well use a very well made piece. I'm sure that there is a cheaper one out there, but why scrimp on something that can make such a difference?

Do the amps have pass-throughs?

x2, my RF amp has a pass-through, which lets you run rca's into the amp, then daisy chain to another amp with rca's.

or you can always go with a clarion 7 band EQ, 7v out AND it's an EQ :)

I used to rock that in my Accord, not a bad piece for the price. I thoroughly enjoyed it until a thief decided it was time for him to enjoy it.
