Kicker Ds60's And Ds693..need Advice..

Recommended Posts

I Blew my 6X9's in my Rear deck, and I need to replace them..I found some Kicker 693 6x9's and while I am at it I will go ahead and replace my 6.5 front speakers. What do you guys think about the Kicker Ds60 6.5's and the Ds693 6X9's..Just for everyday listening running off of my Sony 50watt per channel Head unit???

I'd get the 6x9's if you're running them off the radio. That deck is 25watts x 4 rms BTW.

CLEAN power is a different story. 12 watts sounds about right without starting to distort.

I used to have a camry w/ the JBL system in it. It had 2 tweeters, 4 6x9s and an amp stock. For a stock system the bass pounded. I blew both the speakers in the rear deck though so it sounded like ass until I rear-ended a lady and totalled it. But anyway, if you're willing to fork over the cash, JBL 6x9s sound great IMO.

So what do you guys think about the Kicker speakers...I have my finger on the trigger ready to buy something cause I can't go without tunes man...Also The 6x9's are in the stock location and are in the trunk with the 2 12's I have..I have 2 Blow holes cut through my rear deck. I like the 6x9's in the stock locations..Will having the x9's in the rear deck cause them to fail prematurely?? As far as my deck goes..Sony Xplod..53wx4 MAX power..Thats max..I just wanted to know if anyone knew if the speakers were good speakers...or if by chance someone had some??

For future reference, MAX power on ANY amp doesn't exist. RMS is the only amount an amp can produce.

I'd grab the kickers if you like them, I know how sad it can make you feel with no tunes.
