Derrick824
kinda off topic but kinda not. I am tuned to 28hz and hit way down to 22hz and way up to 55hz and they both sound awesome, no bottoming out sound or anything and I have not had any damage to my subs. For example Bigpimpin is tuned to 34hz iirc and he hit "I luv your girl C&S" that gets down to 23hz and has no problem doing it. Just my let opinion. lol. On paper box tuning can totally change when that enclosure is placed in a car. Lots of in-car variables can alter box tuning. You can't just say that x tuning allows you to play x-z frequency range. CaptainzPlanetz
You're always going to suffer on that bottom note unless you have some crazy ass low end monster system which IMO will suck on the mid-high bass. That bottom note is in the low 20s I believe. My subsonic filter cuts it right down ;/ I would like to hear how loud that is in Jacks Sleeper :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ All BS aside, If I see one more comment in here that is NOT about the pre-sale, I will start the vacations. And that includes the trolls feeding the trolls. ps6435
It doesn't work like that. By lengthening the port you're adding displacement which reduces box volume. Reducing box volume raises tuning. By my calculations you're still tuned around 45hz. It's is imperative to recalculate box volume after any port changes. dude i tuned the port by entering all my calculation into the port calculator on REs website and i think it would be tuned to 36hz if i put in all my calculations then did the box exactly the same as the calculator... so its tuned to right somewhere around 36 hz give or take a few numbers.... but trust me its not tuned to 45hz anymore thats about where i had it before and lower notes sound better now....
