2 or 4 ohm

I have a Kicker zx1000.1 and I wanna get 1 12inch L7 but I don't know if I should get the 2ohm or the 4ohm sub. If you have any advice it would help thanks.

you will want a dual 4 ohm and wire them to 2 ohms at the amp.

the zx1000.1 isnt 1 ohm stable iirc. its rated 1000rms at 2ohms. so the dual 4 and wire to 2 ohm you will be set

its 2ohm stable, if ur gunna run 2 subs get d2's n series parallel em to a 2ohm load, but for only one sub ied run a d4

wished some kicker amps were 1ohm stable, the only one i kno of is the sx1250.1

theres more that run at 1 ohm. anyways, the OP said he only wanted one sub. He should get the dual 4s.

and the amp is not stable at 1 ohm, so whoever said dual 2s should change their post so the guy isnt confused.

its stable at 1 ohm been runnin my 1500.1 and my 2500.1 that way for a year and no problems. but they do draw a shit ton of power. i have a 250 amp alt. and a xstatic 4000 and a xstatic 3000 batt. again kicker might not be rated for 1 ohm, but they sure can take it.
