T-Line box design

Well when I built the t-line box for my single 12" dc lvl 4 xl I loved it. I had the it running off of a RF T10001bd mono amp @ 1ohm. I was amazed in how crisp and clean each note sounded. IDK what it is about T-lines but it just let that sub play great. I then upgraded to two 12" DC lvl4 xl running off a DC PAI3000.1 in a custom built ported box. Tuned to 33hz. 2.76³ ft Per Chamber With 2.44³ ft after displacement. And IDK it just doesn't sound as loud as it was before with the single 12" in the t-line box. Anyways I been toying with trying to figure out how to fit two 12" dc lvl4 xls into a t-line box that would fit in my trunk. SO after a bit of thinking etc I came up with the following. The subs would basically be setting in the rear package tray firing up. With the port behind the fold down seats firing forward. Of course, Ill need to do some glass work to fully seal it off from the trunk that way its basically like having a walled enclosure but a t-line

Basically it will be a 2 boxes that way each sub has separate chambers. Ill have to build the box partly in the trunk to get it to fit But I think its possible. Thoughts?

i dont know how big the gap is on the xls but you will more than likely rock the coils to scratch on the pole. just lose the thing on top and tune it higher

Lose the little chimney bit or just take it straight down to get rid of that step behind the woofer.

zfrerichs is right, you'll get funny loading on the cones.

Oh ic what you mean now. Hmm well crap... I was wondering about that because of how the sub would be 1/2 on a wall and 1/2 open port. Kinda need that "chimney" so that the subs are in the rear package tray area. What if instead of the step I slant it? Like make it basically a 45? If that won't work then what if I do open it up? I thought on t-lines the port needs to stay constant? Wouldn't opening it up mess things up? The port is 7" tall 15" wide 7.26ft long per (box of course) Tuning is around 38.9 so it kinda already up there as it is.

SO opening/slanting the last bend upward would work or did I miss understand you? Cause Im trying to get a design down. Where the port is firing forward into the cab and the subs firing up at the roof. All sealed off from the trunk so that all the spl is in the cab. As far as cost goes I plan on building the boxes out of 1/2" Trupan UltraLight.

If you didn't know Trupan UltraLight MDF weights about 60% less than standard MDF. About 60lbs per 4x8 sheet compared to around 104lbs of standard MDF. But costs about twice as much. Or would it wise to go with Baltic Birch?
