Rockford 2 T4001 Vs 4 T20001 ?

Recommended Posts

According to RF, the average actual power output of a T2000 is 2800w and the T4000 is 4500w @ 1ohm. So by using 2 smaller amps you'll get 5600w compared to 4500w @ 1ohm. I know you said that the T4000 will be running at 0.7ohms compared to the pair of T2000s at 1.4ohms so in this case the single T4000 should provide more power. Is it possible to strap the pair of T2000s and run them at 1.4ohms so that they'll actually see 0.7ohms each?

thats just it though....its a gamble when you buy amps. Some are 2800+ and some might be 2200 or 2300. Its all more then you paid for but i wouldnt put my paycheck on one being 2800 no matter how strong the possibility was. Same for the T4k's. Some are a little underrated some are much more. My first ones were 4700, 4600, 4500, and 4200.....i got the first ones off the line and the 4200 and 4500 are gone replaced by two HIGH 4700 watt ones. If i bought another today, same thing, i wouldnt bet my check id get another 4700. Its just the way it is. I feel 4 RFT2000.1 is about the same as 2 T4000.1 but one is going to be much easier as far as install and wiring. (2 less amps but same power is always a plus ;) )
