man your gonna have all kinds of opinions on what would be best. but huges said port on bottom if the enclosure is correct. the man knows his stuff. but in this case build it how you want it. if it doesnt work out for ya rebuild. you know how this game goes. build then rebuild then rebuild some more. lol

i'd rather have the port blocked then the subs.

No, you wouldn't.

The sub can displace air pretty much wherever you put it because it has a motor, but that port needs to BREATHE. If you obstruct the flow of air into or out of the port, then your effective port tuning will change to something you can't figure with a calculator.

All things equal, port on bottom should give you a little extra in the form of cabin gain (that's where the truck pushes the bass back) over a port on the top.
