loburbon Posted July 29, 2009 Report Share Posted July 29, 2009 ok im going to say what everyone is thinking just doesnt want to say it. almost any sub can handle more then the rms assuming the person behind the volume isn't a complete idiot. so lets assume your smart with the volume control and dont clip your shit. you have two 15's right now which is 354sqin of cone area. your asking about putting a single 18 which is only 254sqin of cone area. yes the 18 will take less airspace then the two 15's. but you have more power that can be split between 2 subs.
