SQMonte
Just pay someone to do the install for you, unless you have loads of cash laying around and don't mind replacing your motor in the near future. wL<3bass
wow a universal kit? Is it an ebay kit? If so, I see that turbo breaking really soon. Yup....so let me get this straight b/c your strapped for cash your going to risk blowing your motor? Uhhhhh heres an idea....LEAVE IT STOCK....and then add a good ball bearing turbo. edit: Also typically stock engines (if not previously turbo'd from factory) will have higher compression pistons which means that you will most likely only be able to run around 5-6psi some more some less..... Myself I wouldn't put a turbo on a car without getting lower compression pistons, forged rods, metal headgasket, etc. Also with a turbo your likely gonna need a larger capacity fuel pump, bigger fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator, headgasket, intercooler, custom intercooler piping, a bov (so you don't get compressor surge), either an internally gated turbo or a wastegate.....and those ebay turbos, wastegates, and bovs suck. wL<3bass
Oh yeh and if you do actually get everything right the first time then you have the issue of how ae you gonna tune it for all the extra fuel it's seein without leaning it out to the point whew the cylinder walls melt? So your going to need an aem wideband o2 sensor and someway to adjust fuel maps (such as a reflashed computer) etc. There is a whole lot more involved in this then you are realizing.... My $.02 is leave alone or take it to a performance shop.
