Jville140db Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 (edited) I am thinking of selling my Bxi1606d and my Zxi6406 and getting The Rockford Punch P1000-1bd and the P400-4 any body think the rockfords will do better. The specs for the Hifonics are 1600rms at 1 ohm for the Bxi and 85rms x 4 at 4 Ohms for the Zxi The specs for the Rockfords are 1000rms at 1 ohn for the P1000-1BD and 50rms x 4 at 4 Ohms for the P400-4 But I know the Rockfords are under rated any insight would be helpful. Edit- I can get the Rockford's mad cheap almost cost that's why I am considering this. I can probably sell the Hifonic's for the cost of the new Rockford's Edited August 2, 2009 by Jville140db Quote Car is 2010 Scion Tc Currently in car Deck- Sony XAV-60 in-dash mobile video system Speakers- Rockford Punch 6.5in comps in the front and coax in the rear Subs- 2 Gen 3 Rockford P3 12's dual 4 ohm Amps- Rockford P1000-1bd and P400-4 Alpine Mrp-f300 is in for P400-4 which is out to service Wiring- all rockford nuff said Enclosure- Dual 12in custom box by SRQ Battery- Optima Yellow top with big 3 done Sound Damping- All Dynamat products 1-2 layers throughout with liner on top Link to my build log- http://down4sound.co...=newpost&t=5275 Link to my youtube- http://www.youtube.c...ser/Jville140db MECP Advanced CEA # 110531 BassBox 6 Pro for Box Building/Re audio box calculator If you can hear the passenger it aint loud enough!!!!!!! smokeumtires Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 I love me some RF... But you should consider D.A.T. as well Quote
BIGD502 Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 rockford mos deff specially if u can get ur hands on those sexy new ones with the led needles Quote
etaks_crew Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 (edited) Well he prolly would if he could get it for as low as the RF is gonna be for him. I love RF and I'm sure the hifonics amp isn't doing the rated power and the RF will do more than rated, its up to you. I personally prolly would just for the dependability of the RF. Slapuhho Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Get the P1000, I have it, and it powers a level 4 xl no problem. And I have seen a p1000 that puts out 1650. ANY Rockford Fosgate product is top of the line. Quote 4 18's, low power and lots of gay fur. Team gg Team DOA My Videos

ANY Rockford Fosgate product is top of the line. i don't 100% agree with that. however i do agree that the all of the power series products are top of the line. if you can afford it i would most definitely get the rockford over the hifonics. Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
enemyofsilence Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 i would go with the rf. i had one and it did the job. and mine was rated at 1413w at 1ohm. its not a bad little amp. imo it looks better than the hifonics too Quote Team Bass-Hz
