liftedranger08
I have 2 cerwin vega vmax 15s. Which numbers in the specs can i look at to see if this sub is good for lows? Do i look at the Fs or what? and i plan on doing a 4 cubic ft box for them because they only require 2 cubes for each. Is it better to go with a bigger port for the lows? I was planning on doing 4.1 cubic ft with 65 sq inches of port tuned to 33.5 Hz. c0pesnuff
im not a pro at this but my guess would be to look at the xmax and tune your box to 30hz for lows Quote sub: 10" eclipse in sealed box amp: 420w PA mids/highs: 2 pioneer 6x9's and 4 sony 6.5's lift: 6.5" fabtech tires: 35" goodyear wrangler MT/R's rims: 16" ion's exhaust: dual streight pipes with 4" tips

treossi
30hz is low as hell, hurts my dome, but if you like lows you should tune somewhere down there Quote Team sundownWESTCOASTSPL.COM we're throwing dbdrag events very soon visit the website for details
liftedranger08
Well i refigured my box, and its 4.1 cubic ft with 65 sq inches of port tuned to 32Hz. Im hoping this will drop the lows my buddy has 2 10s tuned to 33 Hz and i want mine a tad lower and my box now is tuned at 37Hz. I should be starting on it either this weekend or next week. Ill post a build log. This will be my last system for a while. LunatikGixxer
big box and big port hit lows well.. i had one that was tuned at 38 hertz and it banged on the lows. but u lose the mids and highs that itll hit. personally i like a box built to hit everything good and close to equal Quote 2002 Dodge durango 4.7L Autopage 2 way remote start alarm system 2 AQ 15 Aluminum coils. 1 AQ2200D (soon to be 2). 8.5 cubes tuned to 38hz. liftedranger08
try a 4.5ish after displacement sealed box LOL, i know that sounds horrible but my box still bangs the lows as well I would do that, but im not too big on sealed boxes. To me, it just doesnt feel like its loud when there isnt lots of air moving.
