DD9515 beastly subs

i just cant seem to get the sound i want out of these box's, so its either the box needs a new desgin firing a different way, or im just not cut out for ported box's? maybe 6 10's sealed? lol

id redo what you have rather then change up subs considering they are all pretty close

i'd do this as well. box design plays the main role in an install. throwing another sub in a poorly designed box will get you same or slightly different results (could be good, could be bad). DC and FI both carry good subs, but so does sundown, so switching companies wont change much in sound imo. think of it this way (bad analogy incoming lol) say you cant sleep at night...so you change blankets a few times (subs) and still cant sleep. it's because what you really need to do is change the mattress (box) hahahah :D

redoing the box will cost money for wood, but save you in selling your subs, shipping your subs, purchasing new subs, and still get the same output. you just need the perfect 'mattress' lol

yea that makes a lot of sense. good point!! thanks. now i just have to find out what the best "mattress" is haha, ie: what way to face everything, i read a long time ago "i think" that facing the sub forward or up, and port forward sounded the best. but. before i change the box, i want to order a 2nd 15" and when i do that, im limited to 2 things, 1. wall. what i dont want to do or this box here. this is from a member off this website, had 2 15's in a ext cab s10 just like mine. i tried finding his build log and couldn't. but here is his box.

but his had the 3rd door, so i have to shorten the box by 2 inches.

so its either do that box. or, try to do 3 15's in a sealed box, witch means again changing companies because this NS isnt built for sealed. but i just want a clean sounding box, that hits the hella lows!!

p.s the box in the pic is 7. 8cubes @32hz 104in2 of port

shoot me the dimensions you have to work with, for the pair of 15's, and i'll come up with a design for ya to try out

well if you design a box like that, max length can be 43" if it can be shorter i would like it to be as i have a battery to put some where back there also lol. but for a rectangle. 43" long, 22 high, 16" deep. let me know if those are ok with you? i talked to Jacob about a box a while ago he said 3-3.5 cubes for a single 15" NS.
