Hostility Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 DD9515 beastly subs i just cant seem to get the sound i want out of these box's, so its either the box needs a new desgin firing a different way, or im just not cut out for ported box's? maybe 6 10's sealed? lol Quote 99 s10 4.3L Big 3 220amp alt Odyssey 1500 Odyssey 2150 Northstar NSB 75 Sundown Audio 3500D Sundown Audio 125.2 3 Sundown Audio SA-12's Alpine H/U RF Power Comp set 6.5" RF 3 sixty line driver 5.25 cubes @ 31hz

Torres Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 id redo what you have rather then change up subs considering they are all pretty close i'd do this as well. box design plays the main role in an install. throwing another sub in a poorly designed box will get you same or slightly different results (could be good, could be bad). DC and FI both carry good subs, but so does sundown, so switching companies wont change much in sound imo. think of it this way (bad analogy incoming lol) say you cant sleep at night...so you change blankets a few times (subs) and still cant sleep. it's because what you really need to do is change the mattress (box) hahahah redoing the box will cost money for wood, but save you in selling your subs, shipping your subs, purchasing new subs, and still get the same output. you just need the perfect 'mattress' lol Quote

Torres Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 shoot me the dimensions you have to work with, for the pair of 15's, and i'll come up with a design for ya to try out Quote
Hostility Posted August 8, 2009 Author Report Posted August 8, 2009 shoot me the dimensions you have to work with, for the pair of 15's, and i'll come up with a design for ya to try out well if you design a box like that, max length can be 43" if it can be shorter i would like it to be as i have a battery to put some where back there also lol. but for a rectangle. 43" long, 22 high, 16" deep. let me know if those are ok with you? i talked to Jacob about a box a while ago he said 3-3.5 cubes for a single 15" NS.
