Another question...

How do I go about shopping for an amp?

If I am going to be running the 2 12" Level 2, what do I need to loop for in an amp?

Well the level 2's have dual 4 ohm voice coils....so that means you can wire them to a 1 ohm impedance

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...mp;woofer_imp=4

Thats an example....

The level 2's can handle 300 RMS each.

So look for an amplifier that is stable at 1 ohm, and can power 600 watts at 1 ohm.

You will want a monoblock amplifier (or in other words a 1 channel amplifier).

If the amp says 600 x 1 at 1 ohm RMS...MAKE SURE YOU ARNT READING THE PEAK POWER...then it is what you want.

SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. You have to name the price you are willing to pay to get it.

This would be a great amp for you http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9103_R...r+T500-1bd.html

Even though it only says 500 watts at 1 ohm, that amp would probably be going at 600 or 700.

You sure you don't mean 2 ohms?

I'm not seeing any that are 1 ohm on Crutchfield.

everything is 2 and 4.

edit

nvm...

I am pretty sure a DC sub could take more. I wouldn't load the power onto a level 2 though. Get a level 5 for that http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif
