kickerfanatic
i like my L7's but after seeing all your videos here on the forum im like wow.. i have 4 15'' kicker l7 dual 2 ohm subs.. each pair of subs in a 4.5 cf box ported thru the back seat.. each pair on a kicker zx2500.1 @ 2ohms... kinetik hc1400's.. i know i need hc2400's but im working on getting them. my kickers sound cazy loud and shake peoples house and store windows.. when testing my system in my garage to get ready for all the "STREETBEAT COMP"S" that we have around me i have my neighbors who live all the down the block and around the corner tell me their entire house was shaking and glass plates in the cabintes or sinks are rattling.. one lady who was planting in her garden 2 blocks from me called the cops and said i was shaking her dirt and disturbing her plants..lol true story.. but yeah anyway what if any would be better to go with then my kicker L7 subs.. i would keep the amps.. rember i have 4 15'' L7's.. on 2 2500.1's... i was thinking 4 15'' fi btl fully loaded or 2 15'' dc lvl 5 subs. or 2 18'' fi btl's 4 12'' kicker solo x subs. or should i just rip my 4 L7's out the trunk and build a wall for them in my back seat...? would that make it more what im looking for..? kfx450r
Your only giving a pair of 15" L7s 4.5 cubes? Id think the bare minimum for each 15 would be around 3-4 cubes each. And if u want any of those other subs like BTL, lvl 5, solo x..they need more box than 2.25 cubes a peice. More like 3-4 each. 4x 15s need like 14+ cubes. I was gunna say, my clarion 12s are in a bigger box, ive got them in 2.5 each. Yes my box is a bitbig, but thats how i wanted it, 5 cubes at 30 Hz. But anyway. I would say try a diff box before switching subs, you may have to go to 2 15s on lots-o-powa. HDC3's with aluminum coils will take that power all day, are affordable, and sound pretty good doin it. keepinitloud
if your subs are doin that good why switch? If your willing to wall your car I say do it Your current box sounds a little small for those 15's I would think you would need around 3.5 cubes per sub wall it make sure you take care of your electrical problems and you might be happier or not Quote 06 chrysler 300C Hemi one mmatts dreadnaut 15 powered by a planet audio vx 2200d fosgate p200 running planet audio 8" midbass drivers and super compression tweeters stock battery and a stinger spv44 Irragi 300 amp alternator big 3 1/0 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/55075-system-in-my-300c/page__view__findpost__p__763656__fromsearch__1
