Yeah I have some 3M weatherstripping to put on the mounting feet. If I see that it is causing a problem I will put it back under the seat.

Got some more work done yesterday. Carpet dried out and I got it put back in.

After hours of fighting it I finally got the box in. The next time I attempt something like this I'm going to build in the truck, because I got the box in a bind trying to get it through the door and almost broke it, but its in there now and I dread my next rebuild because I'll have to wrestle it back out lol.

You ever get it installed? If so, how does is sound?

My comp setup (Not bad for what it is):

HP Compaq Presario V6120US laptop with:

15.4" widescreen

AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor

2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz)

Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD

128MB shared video memory

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours)

Got everything hooked up and the box=fail!!! :( It is loud as hell and destroys the interior of my truck but I have this awful sound from somewhere in the box. My guess is that it has to do with the troubles I had with sealing the top down. I cant find where exactly the sound is coming from. I am going to build another one. Next time I will just build a small beauty panel for the top to eliminate the problem. I'm pretty bummed right now and since I'm so busy at work it will be a while before I get to rebuild so no beat for a WHILE. Prolly gonna get a table saw before I try it again.

is it like a bad seal noise, or port noise. if you think its a bad seal somwhere just run you hand around the box to find it and use some ducktape to seal it maybe

It sounds like wood clapping together. Its on the opposite end of the box from the port. Never built a box that didn't sound good... Next time structure first, pretty second. The next time I will fiberglass as I go like I have done before and make sure its damn strong then worry about cosmetics.

hell just check and see if you can find the crack then take the nozzle of the of youre wood glue run it down the crack and glob it up in the crack and try to seal it cause the box is sick with the sub inverted like that itll be a cheaper fix then tryin to build a new box

Ok so I'm finally getting to rebuild. Will have a few pics up tonight. Got the top and bottom cut out working on the back and got a call so I figured I'd take a break and come in and let you guys know what I was up to.
