Beanz Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 like in the 12 volt thing jsut casue its lower dosent mean it will go lower lol that made no sense.well all other things will also depend on if it will go lower not just hte FS will determine that. Quote That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

siucsaluki11 Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 high numbers on low hz is way more fun Truf so would u go by fs to tune a box or freq responce to tune it?the fs of my 5500 15's is 21.70hz and of my 8000 15's 23.9hz but the 8000's seem alot louder on lower notes,i unno lol there is more to it than just the Fs. All Fs is is the free air resonate frequency of the driver. Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... YOU JUST LOST THE GAMER.I.P. Blazer=========================Last setup was in the 141s on music (37hz) with 2 12s and 1kw in a 4dr blazer.2010 Mitsubishi Lancer DE2 12in Clarions (kept from blazer)HiFonics BRZ1700.1d (at 2 ohms BLOWN) [JBL GTS180X for subs currently 60wRMS x2ch!!!!!! Decaf Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Fs has to do with the weight of the moving parts of the speaker... the heavier the lower the fs this doesnt necessarily mean alot tho but thats why SPL subs have high Fs, because u need a strong light cone to get louder... its more efficient... just like a 1 ton car is easier to get better gas mileage than a 3 ton car the regular hdc3 10"-15" have higher Fs than usual but have great cone control below tuning so u really dont loose much low end tuning higher.... same with DD the 18" hdc has a Fs of 31hz iirc, hence tune it higher and the low end will still be there because the heavier moving parts and very strong motor.... this is also why u can overpower them... alot has to do with the suspension system when it comes to what the speaker would be best tuned at in a ported enclosure Quote
