Quick Wiring Question

I have neon lights that work through a cigarette lighter, if I cut the wire (only 2 little wires), are the 2 wires a power and a remote?

power and ground more then likely, since remote just acts as a turn on switch if i remember right

Not actual wire, it is just what it looks like.

Seems like power and ground...if you have to plug them into your cigarette lighter, then that should act as your "remote"/switch

Would it still work if I cut the wire and put it in my amp?

So when my amps are on then my lights will be on

And easy power connection.

Don't forget that the wire is connected to a cigarette light tip thingy lol.

Yes, it's a postive and negative Make sure to us a low number fuse if you forgot the what wire is postive or neg. The best way I found to do what you want is to us a relay or toogle switch. To me you should only run three things off a headunit anything more us a relay.
