Jared420 Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Hey sorry bout the last post asking about 4 12s vs 1 15 I wasnt aware stuff like that wasn't allowed anymore. (when the guy said posts like this arent allowed anymore what specifically did he mean just so i know so i wont do it again) But anyways I think for now I am just gonna stick with the subs I have and get things done right. I am looking for experienced help from anyone on here or if anyone knows someone who is somewhat in my area to design and help me build a better box for these 4 12s. If its possible Id like to make it ported cuz ive heard ported is louder so Id like to do that. I will have all the materials and tools to build the box( mdf, wood glue, liquid nails, table saws jig saws, skill saws, nail guns screw guns, clamps) If ill need anything else let me know. I live in Mass about an hour west and north of boston, im right on the new hampshire line about 30 minutes from nashua. I have tried doing my own sealed boxes but my setup looks like a mess and I know these subs have alot more potential in a better box. I need someone who really knows what their doing and how to tune boxes and make them fit right and sound the loudest that they can. Im turning to you guys because there are really no shops around here besides best buy and i dont think they are at all capable of this project. Also just lookin to save a little money on the project, whoever can help me will obviously get paid as nothing is free especially these days but shops jack up the price of materials and stuff and why pay for that when I have all the things I need at easy access. Guess you got used to the sound of that extra 12 pretty quick lol. Any ideas on how you're gonna try to fit the subs? all 4 under the seat? Haha yea the first couple days it felt like it was hittin real hard then it just hasnt been givin me the WOW anymore But i know in better boxes they will sound alot better. Im just at the point im willing to pay the money to have it done right but i want to be involved in it so i can learn how to do the crazy custom stuff.
