How well do 15s play music?

To be honest I do what Fish Chris does for the most part.

and yes I just got my very first 15 inch subs a few months ago after 14 years in and out of this buisness.

Kicker my number one speaker company that I use provides all the info I need in there manuals and have never had to call them for box specs with exception of my Alma Gates L7s and they recommended the same ported box I have used with thier L7s for years. No biggy.

The only company I have called was for a buddies install that I did and I was useing Power Bass 12 inch sub and my buddy likes heavy metal and barely listens to rap.

Power Bass tech was very coropritive and we both knew the rite questions to ask each other and my buddy was estatic with the results.

This is why you rarely if ever see me ask anyone on the forum for box help.

I have contacted only one of the high ups here about my 15 in D2 Punch HX2s that I have waited years to get and after realizeing that it is impracticle to use these subs in my truck without a cut through they now sit and will await to be used in a car.

I deal with the manufactures first unless they fail me and that will be rare. They built the product, They put years of R&D into the product, Quite honestly who would know the best enclosure to use than the manufacture. PERIOD

PS I have really been blown away with L7s in ported enclosures. ( they have always been 10 inch drivers) but really blew the myth about ported boxes to me)

I almost swear the L7s were more accuate in the port desigh I use(the original L7s 10s) but I'm a sealed box guy at heart and will always use a sealed box unless the driver will not function propperly in them. Hence why I'm pissed I didn't get a set of Power HX2s but I'm thrilled to death to have my Punch HX2s and is probably a better choice for me anyway.
