Moore941
Well i bought a 500.2 not to long ago off a member here and has been working perfectly until tonight on my way home, i jumped on the interstate and i turned my mids and highs up and they kept cutting out, i am running this amp at a 2ohm brigded load, I noticed my voltage with just this amp was dipping into the 12's and when it did that is when the amp cut out on me, has never made more than just a few tenths difference before. I have not been able to troubleshoot anything yet but has anyone else had a problem like this, also noticed if u look at the amp from the input side the top left corner is burning hot, Could this just be a loose ground issue, for some reason i doubt it but as i have not been able to check yet im unsure, Anyone with experience with rockford amps please add ur input and what u believe i should troubleshoot. Do u think that could be the issue and if so, would switching clear to 4 ohm per channel clear up my issues or do you think internal damage is already done?
