Derrick824 Posted August 16, 2009 Report Share Posted August 16, 2009 Ok.2,000 watts at 12.8 volts. So, 2,000 watts / 12.8 volts = 156.25 amps. 156.25 amps * 14 volts = 2187.5 watts. Like I said, this is based off of what was said above. Plus the higher the voltage, the higher the output. And one more thing, this is not perfect, the amperage changes with the voltage. It usually goes up. I'm not sure how much and can't calculate how much. So the above is an absolute minimum. One very important thing you're forgetting is to calculate for efficiency. Also this amplifier is rated for a 200a current draw. also remember testing was done on a .5ohm load. so his 2200w calculation is good.
