Gotz1lung Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 I have the OG 300a on there in place of the stock unit, but im still running into some series voltage drop issues, even with the addition of my 2nd battery. So my question is would i see any real benefit to take the time and put my stock back in as well as the 300s unit. i would have a dual seup with 1 105a and 1 300a alt. Can i run 2 seperate amperage alts? Down the road when money allows i could swap the stocker out for another HO unit. Owners1 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 I am pretty sure people do this all of the time. If you are going to be linking the alternators with an MLA module, you can't run them independently or their will be no voltage regulation. The way you would have to do it is just run a 4" wire from the alt + to the other alt + and it would regulate the voltage. sully Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 If you have the stuff to do it then I would. Can't hurt anything adding an extra 105 amps to the setup.
