didnt know how else to title it, heres the situation i just removed my 2.6 cube box tuned to 43HZ with 2 W3011 12's in it

i just installed a DC LVL4 15 in a 4.3cube box tuned to 35hz

both subs were powered by BXi1606D

the w3011's were ran at 2ohms and saw ~850wrms

and the LVL4 sees 1400wrms at 1ohm

My new sub hits the lows alot harder, but at 60+hz hardly makes any sound...

the difference is ridiculous, am i missing something?...

amp settings are the exact same i checked, HU settings are the exact same, only 2 things changed, the sub and the ohm load (2ohm now 1ohm)

Is it possible my amp is having issues making power at 60+hz?

well you have one more thing that changed. the first box was tuned to 43hz and the new box is tuned to 35hz. there you go. tuning tuning tuning. different boxes tuned different. so that means different sound all the way around

tuning difference yes, but i mean if you heard the difference, it almost sounds muffled at that frequency, ill be metered tomorrow and i bet that i go from ~140db at 45hz with this sub to 95-105 at 60hz

im telling you its all in the box tuning. unless your crossover got turned down somehow. and box build and tuning play a hugh role in in-cabin responce.

Double check your low pas and subsonic and make sure that they are set accordingly. Mostly your low pass. Set it to 100hz and see if that makes a difference. It doesn't allow frequency any higher than what it is set for, so it may have gotten set to something lower than 60.

Maybe?

already triple checked that, thats what i thought at first.

tomorrow ill clamp the amp and see what its seeing for an ohm load at 60hz, i might be getting a huge impedance spike
