raytard
lost mine today, its been a trooper so far, but after a bit of abuse from 18's it finally gave way and my domelights...which not only broke the covers and the mounts, but now turn on and off on some strobelight shit on some notes safelite has some crazy stronger than glass epoxy that will put it back on, but that just means the next weak link will fail, and it wouldnt be new to see a crack in the windshield or even a chip taken out with it i think mine is just going to be riding shotgun for now, i'd rather have it next to me than have my windshield break Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
velcroslap
Roof rear views move even more than windshield ones. I would know, it was useless until the day it snapped. Back up camera? Rogers
I would say leave it off because if you knocked off once with the stuff from the dealer that means you have to find something stronger this could lead to the glue sticking very well and the actual windshield to crack around where the glue is contacted. this!... mine fell off and i used 5 minute epoxy from walmart to put it back on... and this happend 2 hours later.... Kvo_8
i put som tape (like masking tape) around that little metal thing that holds up the rearview mirror, like enough for it to by a snug fit. then i put a couple drops of super glue on it, not too much to where it will just crack because it is on so well. and about a year later...its still on. Slapuhho
Okay. So I went Auto Glass today to hopefully get my mirror put on. The secretary was like,"well our Tech isn't in right now",(I also went in there the day before and I made the appointment for today) I guess you could say they weren't the best run business i've seen. So I wait in the waiting room for like 15 minutes and while the secretary messes with my car. She comes in, says it's fixed, don't adjust it and don't play bass for 24 hours and I should be good. She also says I should not plug in my wires for 24 hours.. but I can't really plug them in unless the mirror is off :/ Well I'm skeptical but at the same time optimistic. My car smells like shit though. I'll have an update tomorrow when I give it the real test. Quote 4 18's, low power and lots of gay fur.
