qu1cks1lver56
so i have an optima redtop under the hood (only battery in the whole system) and its not doing the job too good on the audio system. so i was wondering if the d925 would be a better alternative to a redtop. the d925's seem to have a decent price and the website says max amps of 2400 and the specs of the redtop dont say anything about max amps but it says 1000 cranking amps. idk much about battery specs. or something with a similar price and that will fit in a group 34 spot. opinions? BASS14
with my playin round with the 3 that i had, i think one would make a decent starter batt, but i dont think it would like the REAL cold. like for me round here i have days in the winter that are 40 degrees or more below zero. but if your in a warm climate and wat not i dont think youd have a prob. its just the cold that i dont think its gona like Quote Vehicle-2014 Ford Fusion on 20" cruiser alloy obsessionsSubs-4 8" sundown audio E8v3 Sub Amp-Hifonics Brutus Elite 1200.1box-2.8cubes after all dis tuned to 32hz 4" aeroMids and highs-2 sets of Memphis PR 6.5 components Mids amp-Hifonics Brutus Elite 800.4 Deck-Factory IntegrationWiring-Memphis40sqft of damplifier Pro http://www.youtube.c...14?feature=mheeSMD SUPER BUYER/SELLER
qu1cks1lver56
well im in florida, so no extreme cold for me, coldest it gets around here is low 30's MAYBE high 20's and if it gets that low its for a very short amount of time. would one outperform a redtop? scottiej
The D925 and S925 models are often used to replace Optima red tops for cars with stereo systems. With the S925 you can use the 527 GM hold down to make it a direct bolt for bolt replacement for the stock battery. Like mentioned above, if you are in extreme cold a single 925 may not be ideal, but mine has never failed to start in over 3 years. The 925's will work great for starting, audio and pretty much anything you want to throw at it. Great all around addition... The S1200 model fits best in your car, and is what we would typically recommend for up to about 1500-2000W.
