When i close my driver side door with my window down, it sounds like the glass rattles, but when my window is up it doesnt do it. Is there anyway to fix this?

It may have been my fault, but when i took my panels off i did nothing to the glass, nothing is touching the glass. I believe my passenger side does this also.

I just dont want to close my door too hard one day and have the glass shatter. Help me please. Thanks

more than likely you need to tighten your window to the frame. it rattles when its down because its not being held in on the top and bottom

My car is a 2008 ford focus, and i have never "loosened" anything, so you think it would do that with a brand new car?

you got a system in it? that can loosen the windows if its an 08 its under warranty right? take it back and have them fix it.

I know mine does when I shut the door too hard. Mine is because a pice of track in the door broke off. I noticed it when i was replacing my window, after it was shot out. :sad: If you ever take your panel off, feel at the bottom of the door, maybe the same for you.

I dont have a good relationship with my local ford dealership, they blame everything that broke on me taking it apart (some of it was, but 75% of it was on them) Is there anyway of doing this myself? is it a bolt or wat?

mine seemed to have slight rust on it and fell down. its a big piece of track, prob about 12inches or so. I can't really see how you could have broke it, unless you were yanking on it or something

tell them that if they want to argue with you about it you know your rights. The moss magnuson act was created to prevent this. What it does is means that the dealership would have to prove to you that you are responsible for the issue at hand. most times just asking if they know what the moss magnuson act is and tell them you are familiar with it and if they would like to violate your rights as a consumer and paying customer you would like to speak to the owner of the dealership. or regional manager. escalate the issue. you replacing a speaker is not going to fuck the window up
