brsteinbach
What subs does your cousin have?An Orion hp12d4. I hear you screamin.... Way back in the day, I had one of the old RF 18"s and I had it tuned to like 25hz ! Of course it dug deeper than $#!+ too..... Only problem was, at that point in time, their was very little music recorded with bass that low I remember I played the 3 or 4 tracks I had, that really showed off that enclosure > about 9 million times < until I was completely SICK of those tracks.... then started playing tracks that didn't sound so great > until I was completely sick of that enclosure / sub set up ! Nowadays, we have quite a few more choices of low bass music.... But even so, I often listen to "normal" balanced music too, where I need my subs to grab up to 80 or 90 hz, with authority. Actually, it's easy to explain what I'm after, "I want it all" !!! Just not so easy {read; cheap} to achieve. Peace, Fish Glad someone knows how I fell.well thats u but i can stand to listen to chopped and screwed all day.. for a good musical box tune her at 35-36 and itll still dip the lows well.. atleast all mine haveI may just have to tune to 35 because it may be that it's his type of sub. Thanks Eric. 2 Infinity Reference 1252w 12s 4.2 cubic foot box tuned to 28hz Sub amp: 1 Profile AP1200 Speaker amp: 1 Sony Xplod XM-504z Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X492 4 and 8 Gauge Knu Big III In 1/0 All in my 90 Accord Diamonds are forever, but 9's end that shit fast.... brsteinbach
does not mean the tuning was at fault. other parts of the install/box can come into factor here. Yea but I'm just confused because we have the exact same cars. He even has a class D amp don't know if that makes a difference compared to my class AB. What else could be at fault? I do think his sub is more of a comp sub though. 2 Infinity Reference 1252w 12s 4.2 cubic foot box tuned to 28hz Sub amp: 1 Profile AP1200 Speaker amp: 1 Sony Xplod XM-504z Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X492 4 and 8 Gauge Knu Big III In 1/0 All in my 90 Accord Diamonds are forever, but 9's end that shit fast.... Torres
the whole box styling could be different. his sub/port back? the sub mounted too close to the port opening? his amps tuned properly? things like that

I think my sub thats next to the port is about 3" away. Port area is about the same too. 2 Infinity Reference 1252w 12s 4.2 cubic foot box tuned to 28hz Sub amp: 1 Profile AP1200 Speaker amp: 1 Sony Xplod XM-504z Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X492 4 and 8 Gauge Knu Big III In 1/0 All in my 90 Accord Diamonds are forever, but 9's end that shit fast....
