superduper Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Im planning a build in my lil bros crx. I putting 8 10's in there, dont know how I should lay out the box....I'm thinking subs up 4" aero ports back or subs up and slot port up? I need suggestions...should have around 3k to subs and 1k to front stage 4 batts and 8 total runs of power to the back...
Kian Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Aero is my vote i gained about 310+ watts when i switched and is a bit more efficient. i would do 4 subs up faceing the roof, and 4 subs facing farward. iTech Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 You could use 4 6" Aeros to have enough port area. My Official Feedback Thread PSN - tech2332 Games for PS3: Killzone 2, BattleField: Bad Company 2! Add me to play either!
superduper Posted August 20, 2009 Author Report Posted August 20, 2009 this is going to be daily because im planning to put the batteries right behind the back seat in front of the box and i think thats not legal in comps...and i not really feeling the 4 up and 4 forward thing...i was planning to do all 8 up...also how far should the port be from the back??
Nightshade Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 8 10's is really unnecessary in a crx. Also the 4 foward and 4 up idea is a great one. If you've ever seen a loud crx with 4 12's you'll notice that the design is for 2 foward and 2 up. It works great even though you don't think it's a good idea. All 8 of them up will be quieter than the other way, but if your going for quiet then be my guest. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz

Nightshade Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 How many batteries are we talking here? Also if it's only for daily then you can go above the window line and mount a few in the spare tire well and you would still be able to do some right behind the seats.
