OrenB217
So ive been hearing that if you are not too crazy about getting extremely low on songs, but getting the loudest out of your sub, you should build your box to the smallest that the sub requires (15" btl is 3 cubes i believe). For a trunk car is this true? Like my original plan is to do 3.75 cubes at 35 hz. But im not crazy about lows (even tho btl will play them no matter what tuning the box is) but i just want to get loud as fuck for 1 sub in a trunk Black 1998 Nissan Maxima1st Setup: 145.8 DB Outlaw @37 HZ On Music Out Of Trunk2nd Setup: 147.8 DB @42 HZ On Music Out The TrunkCurrent Trunk Build:153.8 DB Outlaw @ 49 HZ Out the trunk (150.8 DB Sealed)Team gg. EricR
that would be correct. also aero's and psp ports are more efficient thats why you see them more in spl setups. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? OrenB217
I think I have talked to you before about putting one fifteen in your ride my dreadnaut 15 is in a little over 3.5 cubes and it smashes the lows no problem and is very loud its powered by a planet audio vx2200d oh yea thats right, i think u posted about if it will fit in a civic, which is why i started this topic to see if smaller is better cuz it will give me a bit of insurance on space when making the box smaller. Def def man, i just wanted to make sure it wont lose dbs, but its a bonus cuz itll gain dbs and smaller boxes help yield higher output and power handling so i will probably get the most outta the wattage assuming i have good electrical. Also tons of port area is usually your friend....
