brewer_brewer
if i am mounting them flat in the trunk or anywhere with carpet then i use velcro. ^^just so i don't put holes in the floor or anything. kbreudi
his box is also built like a brick wall :fyi: true, and probably aound high 150 decibels to the amp, regarless of how strong the box is, actauyl since steevs is a large box then what this guy is using and since hes more than likely not doing high 150's then there is no comparison, his amps will be 100% fine as long as he screws them down tightly, also rubber spacers are a good idea as mentioned above. aslo if im not mistaken, steeves box is single layer 3/4" and some fiberglass...strong for an enclosure, deff...brick wall...not even close. Derrick824
Vibration damage caused by mounting amplifiers on boxes is the #1 cause of amplifier failures. It will snap the mosfet legs right off. In some extreme cases where the board of a cheap amplifier isn't secured thoroughly inside the amp the board will actually flex and break. Do not mount your amp to the box unless there is absolutely no other option.

Do not mount your amp to the box unless there is absolutely no other option. You think if the inside of your box is braced very well and has resin on the inside you wouldnt have to worry. Because i would think mounting my amp in/on my car it would flex worse in certain areas. I know that it is the #1 cause, just curious is all since i have my amps mounted on the box and i have window bracing and resin on the inside of my box.
