My dad and I are finding the factory speakers in our car doesn't have any bass. We plan to put in an extreme low budget system as we just want a little bit of bass to add to the system. I'm planning to put a 12" Hifonics HFi subwoofer in a 1 cu/ft sealed enclosure. We are keeping the HU stock which wouldn't have a pre-out. Luckily my amplifier has a high level input. I'm guessing you just hook the wire up to the rear two speakers? I am not sure if there would be distortion. I'm pretty sure we won't crank it up much, but how else can I prevent from getting the signal clipped?

Whoops I think this should be in the General Audio section...my b

what u said is really hard to understand....

but i do understand that u r using ur factory headunit with no rca jacks....so u r going to need to buy a line out converter...

pretty easy to install....it will have 4 wires on one end, and a rca jack on the other end...

the four wires are used to tap into your factory rear speaker wires in the factory headunit.

then run the rcas from that to ur amp, remote wire, power and ground, spearker wire...and ur done

have no clue if thats what u were asking....or if that helped whatsoever.....lol

i likes me some audio stuff...
