Does anyone know where Steve got his aluminum buss bars from and why he use aluminum instead of copper bars?

I believe aluminum is stronger than copper to a degree. I'm not sure about it's electrical transfer properties, but I heard that copper is better at transfering electricity.

Aluminum is easier to machine. I've used both, no problems with either one.

alumn is about 1/3 the price also.

I only use alumn, no issues ever.

Ray, What thickness would you recommend the aluminum be for a buss bar app? 1/4" ok?

aluminum bars with stainless steel bolts...

steve used 1/2"

I usally use 3/4"

1/4" to tie batts together.

For a "buss" bar, I like thick shit.

3/4" x 2"
