jbondox
hey guys, this amp has just been sittin around my room, but i recently looked some info up on it on google, i read on one site that it was 2ohm stable..... although the booklet say 4ohm min. does anyone know if this is true, or if i can some how modify it to be 2 ohm stable. 4 ohm bridged is the minimum that amp could do, I ran mine back in the day, when they were new, at a 2 ohm and the amp died. it was not designed for it, though over built, the load impedance's of that era were 4 ohms, hence the JL Audio's original W6 6ohm woofers when ran in 3's were.... you guessed it 4 ohm you can modify it for 2 ohm, easiest way would to buy a new amp for 2 ohm. otherwise you will need a new power supply, caps, and output stage. jbondox
That amp would be great for some high end components or some high quality SQ subs. Class A amp That amp is not class A it is a class AB design. for it to be a 900 watt class A amp, it would need to be the size of a Smart car Quote SMD SuperSeller VerifiedJbondoXJames Shields
