Ive been there i had hifonics, power acoustiks, audiobahn, and pretty much anythign else you can think of....in the long run pay the little bit more and get a quality made and reliable product.

whats wrong with hifonics?

Bass is my drug. One hit and i was hooked.

i have a 96 Chevy ext cab and im planning my build.I also have a 5000.00 budget. With alot of research i came up with a good system.2 18Btls 998.00.1 rf4000.1 1200.00.1 rf 800.4 369.00.1 rf T400.4 400.00.4 sets of Hifonics 6.5 componets 240.00.1 Kenetic Hc1800 250.00.1 Dc Power 270 alt 500.00.1 box build at local shop 300.00.1 rf360.2 400.00.That brings me to 4657.00.This dosent include wire, rca,s and stuff.Alot of my choices were found on sonic eletronix.

build it yourself if for no other reason the sense of accomplishment tha goes with it

but yeah im working with james on a box design and im going to go with his suggestion of 2 DD9518s on a ARC 4000se and supporting extras...atm?? ha ha call me a newb but i dont know what atm is but i dont care if its all i see in the rearview mirror and you can see it thru the side windows of my x cab but you wouldnt be able to see it as i have doubled up limo tent on the back 3 windows anyhow so oh well but yeah

X2 on this....I wouldn't waste my time with the Audiopipe 3000d regardless of what people say.

This ^

like james said you would be better off going with hifonics.

if you have the money ready right now i would suggest going on caraudio.com and picking up 2 of the crunch gp3000d's that sundownz is selling...800$ for 6k watts rms

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

yeah after talkin with james on here and the phone its been decided that im going with the 9518s and the 4000se tho james has had nothing but good things to say about the sundown amps ive decided that the ARC is the way to go tho the amp is half of my budget james has told me and my own experience of tryin to save a nickle hope for the best has toold me it is ill adviced i will spend the extra and get someting i know in my heart gut and everything else is worth the investment

the DD sub is worth it man especially with the options on how you want the cone to look...youll be happy with that choice.
