cc_audio Posted November 18, 2009 Report Share Posted November 18, 2009 My memphis 4k kicked ass! They are incredibly inefficient and pull a TON of current, kinda sucked. Day n night comparison to the DD Z1. Z1 was louder but I could get much more wattage before voltage drop was a concern. But the Memphis 4k sounded really good and probably the best rock amp I've ever used. It really liked double bass, but anyway. I would compare it to my T4k, but the fucker was BRAND NEW DEAD ON ARRIVAL! So, don't buy a T4k from someone who probably got them from a fell-off-the-truck sale. But the Memphis's are notorius for being sensitive. Known to die for no reason and some live forever in the harshest setups. They are risky but worth it. Quote It's all gone!
