bennett15 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 So i took my system out of my 95 1500 ram because im moving it all to my 98 durango. anyways i took the deck and wiring harness out, and began to wire a different deck in. Its a JVC i have the wire harness adapters for the stock harnesses and everything worked fine on my other deck. So i get this JVC all wired up and deck wont turn on, it has power because it will load and eject discs but wont turn on to play anything. So i went and double check constant 12v and acc both were fine. Deck still would not turn on. Checked all fuses to do with the radio and all were good. So i took the constant 12v from the harness and directly went to the battery and still nothing. Deck works i tried it in another vehicle. Beanz Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 UMMMM do 95 1500 harness work with 98 durangos also? That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

Mtgrooves Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Check your switched power wire (the red one) you should have 12 volts with the key on if you don't than binggo...most decks will still eject with just constant power so this is what lead me to beleave it's your switched power wire.
