Alright guys here's the deal - I really just need one box for the moment. Can someone please run up those designs for a box tuned to 30-32hz

I have plenty of room -

am i the only one thinking that walling 18 with that much space is a little overkill?... i think a nice box around 8-9 cubes would do better am i right?

The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)

Yea it would be overkill. I think he is looking for more in the lines of subs up port back.

Overkill? - I'm not going to be mounting the subs in a permanat horozontal wall situation -

I'm doing the wall to literally cut down the massive amount of airspace i have -

Why are you guys saying it's overkill? - It would improve SPL, be easier on the eyes, and more useful as a vehicle to have a whole space empty for something else -

Are there reasons why you guys don't agree with a little wall barrier?

I wouldn't do a wall with 1 18 in your van, now I would do a wall for say 3 to 4 18s.

Hmmm. I disagree - I'd wall for 1 or 2 - but not for 4 -

When you have that much cone area with 4 18's the massive airspace isn't an issue anymore because they move the air like nuthin

1 or 2 18's has a harder time movin that same amout of air - Therefore I'd rather just decrease the actual airspace , so I can bang louder.

I had one kid design a nice box, but it was for 2 subwoofers, not one - I really appreciate his hard work doing all that for me - unfortunately I only have 1 18 inch woofer - If anyone can help, I will be so thankful.

That's cool. The best I could do for you is pencil and paper drawing. But I would need a lot more dimensions

anytime you cut down the volume you need to pressurize, you'll see improvement. 4 18's in a wall would be better than two 18's (given both boxes are equal) because you have that much more cone area pressurizing the same space as 2 18's. like you said, the 2 18's have a harder time moving the same amount of air, but with both both setups in a wall the 2 18's would still have a harder time moving the same amount of air as the 4 18's :)
