Florida heat
ok so i just amped up my mids and highs along with a my kenwood 6x9's. before i amped up the 6x9's they were playing off my h/u and they sounded great. now all of a sudden when i amped them up they just dont hit as hard. im running them off a alpine v power 400x4 amp.the 6x9's are rated at 80w. i noticed when i unhook one of the 6x9's just the one sounds great just as it used to. but when both of them are hooked up it sounds like crap again i figured it was the gain and filter settings but ive adjusted all of that and nothing has really changed. im stuck and dont really know whats goin on. any got any idea's??? Lowroll
What are your outputs rated at? & have you checked your ohm loads just to make sure something wierd isnt happening? Go back through your HU and amp & double check all the settings. make sure you hooked the amp up to the right pre-outs, oh & whats the voltage at your amp on both 12+ & remote? low voltage could do this too. raytard
are they wired out of phase? that would be my bet, cuz what you just described is basically the textbook definition, switch the =/- on one and see what happens if our suggestions dont help, post a pic of how they are wired, and the settings on the amp Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
BanginOnABudget
might be preout voltage too low, might be the amp, might have wires switched on speakers, idk man. a 4ch 400 alpine in my head means 50 watts max xper channel @ 4 ohms. idk tho.... Quote im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. raytard
do they both seem to play fine (visually, like cone moving) when they're hooked up, just they dont sound right?) do the other speakers sound fine?
