VistaV6
So I finished my enclosure for the most part this morning. Was all ready for beat....... then whattttttt...The subs had/have so much excursion on such little volume....and it sounds horrible (NOT LOUD AT ALL)....what would cause this? EricR
sounds like you have it tuned wrong. whats the specs on the box and subs Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? Iraggi Alternator
Sounds either like a sealed box or a big one tuned too high.. If you have 2-10's I would put them in between .9 and 1.2 cubic feet and tuned to either 30 or 35hz. Depending on what kind of bass you like. VistaV6
30 w 11 h 20 d1 20 d2 3.5 port width 11 second port length 2.257 cu ft at 32.5hz according to RE enclosure calc....but I don't seem to believe the whole too much space thing, because I have a box that is much bigger....(3 cu ft) and they absolutely slam in that one... Subs are in sig as well as amps Edited September 20, 2009 by VistaV6 Quote SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. You have to name the price you are willing to pay to get it. EricR
you sure you don't have the subs out of phase?
