1cf box, and 1-10" sub wall socket 19 amps x's 120v = 2280rms

just having some fun, needed the motor, and no one bought the sub at the price I posted on CACO, so bye bye subwoofer

This is why NON leaded spider, lead slappin leads suck! at high power they slap against each other causing arcs

BTW, we did this like 6 times or so, sub is fine, we were just having fun with the arcing

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

nice. i agree with how much lead slappage sucks.

i'm so glad all the companies are switching to sewing them into the spiders.

how many watts did you design that for?

it was just a prototype, the coil I used was a Dual 0.5ohm coil, with 19 gauge round wire, 1.2" winding width, so it was meant for high freq burping anyways

ended up with a 58hz Fs I think?

probably a good solid 1500rms

Nice vids :D The sub is fine. Only problem was the leads. Ill tear it apart real quick and see what the coil looks like. I have no doubt that little sub could have take massive amounts of power on short burps as it was intended to.

sweeeeeet, coil looks UN-touched, and I have 6 of those coils left

Thanks Scott ;-)

I have 3- 15"s to build, 1 is for 99vic, but the other 2 I think I will use that same coil on, and 6 spiders again, do a high Fs sub again

I really need to do a re- do on the 1/4 wave tutorial since I deleted the pics in the beginning on accident

I will probably do a 45hz tline with 2-15s using this coil, and Kove motors
