harrisonG
well i made another topic about this but it barely got any views so i thought id try in the DC section i did some searching but didnt really find anything that helped me out right now i am awaiting the arrival of a DC lv 4 12 inch sub and i am deciding upon enclosure specs. the thing is i am at college and i live in a dorm and dont have the supplies or tools to make a box so i talked to a local custom shop and the box that we talked about was 1.5 cuft tuned to 38 hz. i listen to mainly rock with some rap and i was told that this would be a good box for my purposes, but what are your guys opinions? thanks for all of the help Harrison Quote 2000 Nissan Xterra -Infinity 6020cs components -Infinity 692.7 6x9s -DC LVL 4 12 -AQ1200 -Pioneer DEHP860MP H/U -4 channel amp for mids and highs??? harrisonG
nah everyone was directing their answers towards the builder of the box (the custom shop) because of something i recall him saying, but then everyone just left the thread behind nvm you did comment in it, but im looking more for tuning advice i was originally told 38 would be ok then i mentioned 38 in the thread and everyone was like no thats not going to work. right now i think im going to buy the box 1.5 cuft tuned to 38 unless anyone thinks its an absolutely terrible idea, and then in december im going to build a box about 2 cuft maybe tuned closer to 35 Edited September 28, 2009 by harrisonG Quote 2000 Nissan Xterra -Infinity 6020cs components -Infinity 692.7 6x9s -DC LVL 4 12 -AQ1200 -Pioneer DEHP860MP H/U -4 channel amp for mids and highs??? 1992Chevy K1500
Why waste the money. Go ahead and get a 2 cube box and tune it to whatever you want. I don't know how those DC's would like that little airspace. But I've never run DC's, so I don't know. It's up to you. harrisonG
well from the website it says that the ported specs are 1.5 cuft for a 12. i mean if this box will work i dont really have a problem spending the money until i can build my own if i even need to build my own Quote 2000 Nissan Xterra -Infinity 6020cs components -Infinity 692.7 6x9s -DC LVL 4 12 -AQ1200 -Pioneer DEHP860MP H/U -4 channel amp for mids and highs??? 1992Chevy K1500
Yeah, it should work. But it won't be very loud.
