Most of the systems i've heard at houses sound distorted. They're all using some sort of mixer, laptop, and PA speakers. They have to be able to take abuse. I'm not sure where to start. on ca.com I was told to get a receiver, which I probably will. But I'm not sure where to go. qu1cks1lver56 Posted October 1, 2009 Report Share Posted October 1, 2009 for frat parties, since theyre liable to get messed up, id find some older floorstanding 10 or 12 inch 3 way speakers and a decent amp to run them off of, possibly a 6 channel rotel if they could be tri amped.
