Marlo Stanfield Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 With 1200-1300 available for subs/amps you have soo many available options. Personally I would go w/ something like - 2 10" FI BL D2 wired to 2ohms on an Audiopipe 3000D. You save some money on ur original budget for wiring, a new box, and other accessories. So if i read right, you're limiting yourself to 2 10s or a single 12 because that's what will fit in your old box?? Why not spend like $40 on a couple sheets of MDF and make a new one to open up your options?? If you're planning on having a $2k system, why skimp on the box. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... I just built this box 10 days ago I originally made it for 2 dd 9510's but theyre outta my price range its the biggest I could fit in my trunk with the biggest port possible 87 sq inches but still tuned to 34hz its 1.5" thick doubled up 3/4 inch mdf and its rhino lined and solid as a rock I have a prelude so the trunk is only about 6.5cuft and the box is 5.8cuft so thats just about the best I could make it...
localboy536 Posted October 4, 2009 Author Report Posted October 4, 2009 Dc lvl 5 10's Are they around $300?

U wouldn't wanna spend a good amount of money on subs just to have them burn up in a box of that size. Btw that box is too big for the 9510s also, so Idk where u got the design to begin with. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... Guest Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 5.8cuft before or after displacement????? either way thats freaking enormous for 2 10's or a single 12. thats enough airspace for a single 18.
