liftedranger08
I just wanted to say Sundown is awesome. I went down to wilmington and hung out with Team Nemesis Dj and Scott yesterday and got some play time on the TL. I did a 147.3 sealed at 51 Hz on the dash with just 1 2000 running a 10 volts at .5 ohm with 4 15s in the ranger. I cant wait to see what the 2000 does when it gets 13-14 volts. Hopefully a 149 sealed on the dash. Sundown FTW. Thanks Jacob, Dj, and Scott. Nightshade
Good score, but why only 10 volts? Is that what your voltage was dropping to? If so that makes sense. liftedranger08
Good score, but why only 10 volts? Is that what your voltage was dropping to? If so that makes sense. Yea i have 13.9 volts at the front but at the amp, i only had 10.9 volts so i have a major voltage lost. Im thinking maybe one of my batteries are bad. Ill get it checked out today. I love my sundown amp. Its awesome and i cant wait to get the most out of it. Since my radio only puts out 2 volts to the amp, should i get a line driver to up radio volts to 5-6? Since my radio only puts out 2 volts to the amp, should i get a line driver to up radio volts to 5-6? I wouldn't run a line driver at all. I've found the Sundown amps to like a deck with a 4 volt preout. I would get one of those before I ever ran a line driver. I also have a similar problem as you with voltage drop. I sit at 14.7 at idle and when I burp the car it drops the voltage down to 11.2 volts. The best way to keep your voltage up is by adding a couple more runs of wire and also adding a high output alternator. That will be your best bet with adding the alt to keep the voltage up.
