Saltine
ok just a need to know. i have the viper 5900 finally getting around to install it. i keep seeing stuff were it says i need a bypass module for the remote start. its going in a 1995 cadillac fleetwood. chip is in the key now i just got done removing a viper alarm with remote start from a 1997 i think monte carlo same chip in the key, and all that was done for bypass was a resistor soldered to the white and purple vats wires. can i do that for mine or is the bypass module required
Shyne151
Yes that car is also a vats system. Read the resistance off the chip and wire in a resister that is +-10% of the value in the vats wire. Two completely different technologies.
