Guest Posted October 8, 2009 Report Share Posted October 8, 2009 the LPF basically cuts out all the frequencies above what you set it at. example: if you set it to 80hz, then itll cut out 81,82,83hz etc. out at a gradual decline. you can still hear 100hz or so but itll be very quiet. Decaf Posted October 8, 2009 Report Share Posted October 8, 2009 a very general standard is 63/80hz for rap and 80/100hz for mostly rock its just a guestimate where u set it... what is ur range... says its 50-250hz... then u put it at 50 and turn it up ~1/4-2/5 turn most subwoofer amp LPFs are -12db slopes... so if set at 80hz, then at 160hz it will be -12db.... -18db at 240hz... -24db at 320hz but if u can choose, i usually like the highest number possible and let mids take care of the rest Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
