how did you stop your roof flex?

Recommended Posts

I have an envoy xl and my roof didnt flex too bad when i had my 15s but now my 18 lvl 5 is tearing it up. So im just curious to how u guys stoped your roof from ripping in half.

Doug

bracing and sound deadener.

i "tin canned" my civic's roof a couple of years back and the bass was going to town on it. i threw a layer of dynamat xtreme on it and all flex and vibrations have stopped.

p.s. i have the videos to prove it. maybe ill post them when i get out of class

Foam all the roof braces with door jamb foam and it won't expand excessivly and warp your roof and put a ton of deadener up there...I have 5 layers on mine....second skin FTW!

my girlfriend said no fat chicks ...soo lets think of something else. LOL

my roof is sturdy towards the back, but the section between the windshield and 2nd row flexs... its a section of 36"x42" i was looking and i could do "spl tiles" but i havnt heard anything about them. should i just do a layer or 2 of damplfier then "sludge" on top of that? or would the tiles stop it all together?I doubt it but i gotta ask.

Doug

ps im lookin for a cheaper way to do it... and fat chicks eat a lot anyway so i couldnt afford her...

sold everything
